Take-aways: HORIZON CLOUD Technical Community Event March 2022

On 3 March 2022, from 14:00 – 16:00 CET, HORIZON CLOUD hosted its March Community event for the European Cloud Community. The two H2020 Cloud Research and Innovation Actions SmartCLIDE and PHYSICS used the webinar to share their project outcomes with the community.

The SmartCLIDE project aims to bridge the gap between on-demand business strategies and the lack of qualified software professionals by creating a new cloud native integrated development environment (IDE) that makes it easier to develop and deploy cloud services. During the webinar, the project presented an introduction to the SmartCLIDE vision for a cloud based IDE, focusing on service creation and composition as well as on a Deep Learning Engine. Moreover, it presented a roadmap for the SmartCLIDE IDE.

The PHYSICS project aims to optimise the hybrid space-time continuum in Faas. During the webinar, the project presented the architectural approach of PHYSICS across 3 stacks (from design, to deployment and operation), as well as an initial functionality driven design approach to alleviate the aforementioned migration process in the new paradigm.
